Jour 54
Show for video and electronics based on George Perec’s last novel
Jour 54 draws on 53 jours, Georges Perec’s ultimate and unfinished novel. Broadcast in multichannel (5 +1 device), the music interweaves heterogeneous sources - musical pages (performed by the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France), electronic sounds and the voices of three actors. On stage, there is a gigantic book on the pages of which sentences and paragraphs of the novel appear, come to life, fade and are eventually erased. It is a journey into the universe of Perec, that intermingles the echoes of the History, meditation, the jubilation of words and the vertigo of numbers.
